Gotta love spontaneity!

Woohoo! I have officially completed my master’s degree and my time as a Queen’s student is now over.  I have moved back into my parent’s home while I complete the visa process. I am very excited to get to France to start his next adventure, but it is a lengthy (~6 week) process to obtain the visa.

What could easily have been a very long and boring month of April has begun to shape up to be an exciting few weeks!

Only last week, I was dreading how slowly the month would pass by, but very quickly, my calendar began to fill up as I added new adventures in an attempt to spend quality time with family and friends before I leave.  April will now be filled with a couple trips to always-fun-Toronto, a sunny vacation to Cuba with Mel, a trip with my Nanna to NYC to see my uncle and visit my bestest old roommate and, finally, a trip up to beautiful Muskoka to visit my other Gramdma. All of this before I fly across the Atlantic Ocean to Geneva, Switzerland and then across the border into France!

Yesterday was Mom’s birthday and we (Dad, Mom and I) spent the day in Toronto shopping and celebrating the day.  We all had a great time – I got some really cute clothes – and Mom did well too!  We had a fantastic dinner at Woodlot‘s, a local, fresh-food restaurant.  Mom really enjoyed it for her birthday dinner

I’m definitely looking forward to leaving for Cuba this weekend for some sun, drinks and relaxation! But also for some much needed colour on my body – I’m way too pasty!  Lazying in the sun, reading a good book with a good drink beside Mel for four days – I don’t think it gets much better than that!

Stay posted for some details about my time in Cuba and anticipation of my return to the big city!

À la prochaine, bises.
