There aren’t many things better than feeling the crisp cool air on your face while you step of the train that brought you up to 3000 meters to have a perfect view of the Matterhorn.
If you’ve been to Switzerland, you know full well that the views are plentiful and stunning almost anywhere you go. Zermatt is no different. In fact, Zermatt is epitome of “typical Swizterland” – log cabins everywhere, great food, and an outdoor paradise. Surrounded by mountains, Zermatt is a heaven for outdoor-sport lovers, with skiing year-round, hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and canyoning all available.
I spent a beautiful weekend in Zermatt hiking and taking in the views. It is truly spectacular, and sparked a love of mountains and for hiking. Here are some photos from my weekend spent with the local au pair group, LiNK. Thanks to Becky, Paul and Jessica for organizing an awesome weekend for us all!
